We are looking for someone (or a team!) to lead this event!

PRIMARY VIP DANCE LEAD(S):

select theme (if desired)
decorations as desired
choose activities (crafts, games, facepaint, etc.)
order supplies as needed.
coordinate volunteers as needed (food/concessions, running games or activities, set-up/take-down, etc.)
work with the PTO's graphic designer & marketing team to create promotional materials. Our talented team will get the word out about the event with our multi-channel strategy. Beyond your involvement in sharing Event Details with them + double-checking that the design works with what we need, you don't need to do anything re: promotion.

available to remain through the end of the event, including making sure things get cleaned up properly.

Do parents need to stay?

A responsible adult must stay with your student(s). This is our "VIP Dance" so your student is encouraged to bring someone (or multiple adults) who have a special meaning in their life.

What do I wear?

This one is up to you! Some may prefer their "fancy" clothes from their wardrobe. Other owill come in clothing they'd wear any day of the week. You choose what's comfortable for you.

Which students are invited?

This dance is for students in 4K - 4th Grade and their "VIP (Very Important Person)". That might be mom and dad, or grandma and grandpa, or some combination!

We have an Intermediate-Only Dance planned for 2/5 for Merton's 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th Graders.

Do I need to order food in advance?

No, you do not need to order your food in advance. However, ordering your food in advance GUARANTEES that we will have your order for you. If you decide to wing it and come without pre-ordering, there is no guarantee we will have the food you want.

Pre-ordering helps us to minimize waste. It doesn't make sense for the Merton PTO to spend money and time preparing food that might not sell. It makes more sense for us to prepare food in quantities that's been pre-ordered. If you choose not to pre-order, please recognize supplies will be limited and when it's gone....it's gone!

We will have a limited supply of concession candy available as well!
