This School Board Candidate Community Forum is an opportunity for the Community to engage directly with candidates vying for positions on the Merton Community School District Board of Education. Attendees will have the chance to hear from the candidates, learn about their visions for the future of education in Merton, and discuss important issues facing our schools.

Both candidates will be invited to participate.

What to Expect:

The forum will be formally moderated to ensure a structured and productive discussion. Candidates will have the opportunity to express their perspectives, goals, and plans should they be elected to the School Board.

• The forum is open to all members of the Merton community to attend. 

• Childcare will be provided by students in the Merton National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). 

• For those unable to attend in person, the event will be recorded and shared on the Merton PTO YouTube channel.

• Community members are invited to submit their questions via this form in advance of the forum. Questions will also be collected at the start of the forum. To ensure clarity, conciseness, and the removal of potential bias, questions will be reviewed in advance. Any duplicates will be consolidated, and biased language will be neutralized. The form to collect questions from the community will close at 4:00PM CST on Monday, March 16, 2026.
