Step into the spotlight at our exclusive VIP Red Carpet Spring Dance! Calling all Merton students and their families to join us for a night of glitz, glamour, and unforgettable memories.
What to Expect:
Dress to impress as you walk the red carpet like a Hollywood star, capturing every moment of your shining night with our professional photographer!
Dance the night away to the hottest beats spun by our talented DJ, and indulge in a variety of activities fit for VIPs of all ages.
NEW! Have fun with the 360-degree camera as you dance with your friends and share photos and videos on social media!

Each ticket costs $15 per student.

Do parents dress up too?
Sure! If you want to! How fancy you get is up to you. If you want to re-live your prom outfit (!) or just dress in your Sunday best.....either is good for us!
Can I drop my kid(s) off?
Parents should stay in the building with their student(s) please.
How does the 360-degree camera work?
Parents can submit their phone number to receive the video via text or submit their email address to receive the video via email.
What's special for the Intermediate kids?
There's going to be a whole VIP section that'll be roped off and will be just for Intermediate students including snacks, drinks, candy, tattoos, and a selfie station - no Primary kids allowed! Relax and hang out with your friends! Intermediate kids will also have the opportunity to do the picture frame craft if they'd like to!
What's special for the Primary kids?
There's so much to look forward to for the Primary students! We have a craft ( a wooden picture frame to decorate) where they can insert the picture from the professional photographer.
How many adults can attend?
There's no limit to the number of adults that can attend; there is no charge for adults. The cost is $15 per student. Simply fill out the registration form and include one adult name plus the name of each student as applicable.
Does this VIP Dance replace the Daddy-Daughter Dance / KISS Dance?
For 2023-2024 school year, the PTO had a limited budget and we could only afford to host one dance. In an effort to include as many as we could, we opted for the VIP dance where students could invite a Very Important Person. That VIP could be dad, mom, grandma, grandpa, or an older brother, sister, or even a beloved babysitter or someone else who's special!
As for replacing the Daddy-Daughter Dance / KISS Dance? Nothing is ever permanent! The PTO functions on volunteers; we'd love to bring back these events but we need help to make it happen! Please reach out to us at hello@mertonpto.org to let us know you'd like to help bring these events to life!
