We had a lot of fun at our Comedy for a Cause fundraiser on Saturday, April 26!
Final numbers have yet to be tallied, but we will report back how much we were able to earn to put toward the upcoming Library Improvements for Merton Intermediate! Stay tuned!
We will be sending out a survey to families who attended AND who did not attend. Please take a few minutes to send us your feedback about your interest in this kind of event. It really helps us to guide our decisions for future planning! Please look out for that survey in next week's newsletter and on social media.
Here's Nora participating in a game called 'Dr. Know-it-All'
Finn next to our marquee letters. These were in the entry where guests "checked in". The sign was a preview of things to come!
Easton got to help Team Dendrites!
Lots of folks in the chairs & bleachers!
Audience suggestions were HILARIOUS!
Captain Jon from the Dendrites was SO funny!
Kellen got to play with Team Sparklers!
We got a shout-out on the ComedySportz MKE social media!
This event was so FUN! We can't wait to host another event!
Be sure to look out for our upcoming survey to let us know what YOU thought and if you'd like to see an event like this again!
We hosted a Literati Book Fair last week at the Primary School. Many of the classes were able to visit during the school day to make their selections and add to their wishlists!
We also had many visitors on Thursday afternoon when we were able to stay open late until 7PM. Lots of parents and grandparents were in the building for the 4K Spring Sing, and many were eager shoppers at the Book Fair!
Numbers are still being tallied, but we will report back soon with the total amount sold and what that means for the Merton PTO.
A HUGE THANK YOU to our Primary Book Fair 'Fairy' Tricia Wilson, plus volunteers Kerry Mead, Kelly Radcliff, Sheila Plowman, Kristin Miller, Robin Burnett, Kristin Brewer, Shawn Johnson (plus Cade & Connor!), Crystal Cresci, and Katie Farchmin. We couldn't do any of our events without enthusiastic volunteers like you! THANK YOU for contributing your time, energy, and smiles! :)
This week-long celebration in the beginning of May recognizes our incredible Merton staff & teachers.
We have many fun things planned and we could use some helpers to assist with set-up, distributing treats, decorating, cleaning up, and more.
We have jobs throughout the week available for both the Primary School and Intermediate School including:
- Water Bar (Monday)
- Room Service (Tuesday)
- Breakfast (Wednesday)
- Coffee Truck (Thursday)
- Make-Your-Own-Bouquet (Friday)
THANK YOU for showing your love for our staff!

Our Team is looking for a person (or team!) who'd like to take the lead on Fundraising efforts for the Merton PTO for the 2025-2026 School Year.
There's opportunity for you to have part in deciding our key fundraising ventures. The Chairperson essentially functions as a "Supervisor" with "Project Managers" supporting in each of the individual fundraising efforts. In recent years, the Fundraising Team has coordinated:
Mum Sale (September)
Raise Craze (late September-mid-October)
Spring Fundraiser (this year was Comedy for a Cause, April)
Monthly restaurant nights (Culver's Nights)
Spirit Wear (historically offered late summer + in time for Christmas)
There's certainly opportunity to change what we've done and/or try new things! We are open to your enthusiasm and ideas!
Please reach out to us if you'd like to learn more!
