Color Run Success
What an amazing event! The first Merton Color Run was a huge success. Our goal was to raise $45,000 for the remaining turf soccer field funds, classroom supplies, teacher requests, and student needs, and we raised OVER $50,000! Thank you to all who participated, donated and volunteered. This money will have a huge impact on our schools!
We want your feedback, please click here to let us know your thoughts on this year's fundraiser.
We helped celebrate Physical Therapy Month and National School Psychologist Week. Thank you for everything you do!
Students from 4K, 1st, and 3rd grades, and those who opted in from 5K, 2nd, and 4th grades, participated in the free vision screening on Thursday, Nov. 6 in partnership with Stone Bank Lions.
THANK YOU to all the busy teachers who took time out of your schedule to bring your students to the library for the Vision Screening on Thursday, Nov. 6.
In total, we screened 327 students and identified 11 of those students as kiddos who are recommended to see an eye care professional for further evaluation. Nurse Gayl will be sending home the results forms for each student who was screened soon.
Feel free to review the data to learn more about Merton Primary's results. Please send any questions to Katie Farchmin or to Nurse Gayl Ward.
A big thanks to our volunteers Jessica Clark, Tina Halimi, Brooke Beale, and the Stone Bank Lions Club for providing this service.
Vision plays an important role in children's physical, cognitive, and social development, and we are grateful for the opportunity to offer this screening to help the health of our kids!
Another screening will be offered for 5th grade, plus OPT-IN screenings for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade on Friday, December 5, 2025. Sign up to help here.
Have availability this week? Help out with the food drive! Volunteers will help load boxes of collected food at both the Primary and Intermediate schools into a van (meet at the Primary school), then assist in unloading the van at St. John's, which is across the street from the Intermediate school. Students are busy collecting food and classrooms are helping sort as well. Sign up to help here!
We are looking for folks who'd like to join our team!
