"Thanks for helping us bloom!” Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week was a huge success!
Thank you all for your incredible support and generosity for your children's teachers. Your thoughtful notes, kind words, and creative gestures made the staff feel truly valued and celebrated.
Through the help of our wonderful volunteers and community partners, we were able to offer the school staff a water bar, breakfast, a coffee truck, and make-your-own-bouquets, plus room service and massages for the classroom teachers. This was in addition to all the individual and class gifts sent in throughout the week.
THANK YOU for showing your love for our staff!
A special thanks to our always-willing volunteers: Dawn Baumgartner, Brooke Beale, Kristin Binkley, Jackie Bowe, Kristin Brewer, Megan Cole, Kathryn Colucci, Crystal Cresci, Neil Dora, Carla Fabian, Katie Farchmin, Melissa Forbes, Dawn Goodreau, Natashia Jambrek, Shawn Johnson, Bryan Kelly, Mrs. Knipfer, Rachal Krenke, Katie Lehfeldt, Britta Lehman, Megan Loesch, Kerry Mead, Jennifer Mleziva, Emily Nieman, Kelly Radcliff, Jacqueline Rottler, Lauren Sherman, Michele Schaefgen, Kayla Trepanier, Tracy Walther, Valerie Wenzel, Heidi White, and Peggy Wrobleski.

5:00 to 7:00PM in the Primary Gym
The Merton Primary + Intermediate Math & Literacy Teams are planning an exciting evening at school called MATH + LITERACY NIGHT. This event will be free for all students and their families.
The teachers will be planning engaging games and activities with take-homes to provide our kiddos with some fun math + reading activities for the summer. Also featured for the evening will be several food trucks! Come check it out!
Merton PTO is supporting this event by helping to coordinate & manage a Book Swap & we are looking for volunteer help!
Thank you to everyone who donated books and those volunteers who helped sort the donations! Belated donations can STILL be made at the front offices.
Now we need volunteers to help run the Book Swap during Math + Literacy Night. All students will be invited to take a book (or more, depending on how many we collected!) to add to their personal summer reading library.
Books NOT claimed by students & families will be offered to Merton Teachers to help them fill out their classroom reading nooks.
Help at the Book Swap on 5/20.
Did you make it to the show? Maybe yes, maybe no.
Either way, please take a moment to complete our short survey. Your feedback plays a big role in shaping future PTO events and activities.
Every event takes time, energy, and often funding to pull off—and we want to focus on what truly matters to our Merton families. Help us make smarter plans by letting us know what works, what doesn’t, and what you’d love to see more of.
P.S. - we want to hear from the kids too, so "refresh" your browser once you've submitted to let them chime in, too!

Our Team is looking for a person (or team!) who'd like to take the lead on Fundraising effort for the Merton PTO.
There's opportunity for you to have part in deciding our key fundraising ventures. The Chairperson essentially functions as a "Supervisor" with "Project Managers" supporting in each of the individual fundraising efforts. In recent years, the Fundraising Team has coordinated:
Mum Sale (September)
Raise Craze (late September-mid-October)
Spring Fundraiser (this year was Comedy for a Cause, April)
Monthly restaurant nights (Culver's Nights)
Spirit Wear (historically offered late summer + in time for Christmas)
There's certainly opportunity to change what we've done and/or try new things! We are open to your enthusiasm and ideas!
Please reach out to us if you'd like to learn more or chat with any of our PTO leadership team.
Want to help at school? Take a look at these ways you can volunteer!
We're always adding new opportunities here, so please be sure to check it out!
